Ocala - Pathways to Living, Learning & Serving NC
Program: Pathways to Living, Learning & Serving
Central Florida Community College (CFCC)

Overview: A one-stop shop that offers connections and directions for adults age 50+ to explore what's next in areas including volunteer service, employment, lifelong learning, wellness, and social engagement. The Pathways Center has two locations: one based at the CFCC campus and the second in space donated by Park Avenue Bank.
Special Features: Pathways trains and deploys volunteer life planning coaches to provide services for older adults. It also works closely with two volunteer programs: Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Marion County and Legacy Corps, which offers respite care through stipended volunteers.
Partners/Sponsors: Key partners include Central Florida Community College, On Top of the World Communities, Inc., Munroe Regional Medical Center, the Star Banner newspaper, Park Avenue Bank, CFCC's Senior Institute, Cingular, and the Citrus/Levy/Marion Workforce Development Board.

Program: Pathways to Vital Living: A Curriculum for Midlife and Beyond

Overview: The Pathways to Vital Living curriculum provides a planning and program kit for conducting 12 workshops on varied topics such as: relationship transitions, intentional recreation, meaningful service, mental vitality, and spiritual development. It uses interactive, experiential learning to help older adults assess and explore nine key areas to help them make important life choices.
Special Features: This curriculum was created by the Senior Resource Alliance, the Area Agency on Aging of Central Florida, in collaboration with the Winter Park Health Foundation.
