Chula Vista - Life Options South Bay NC
Program: Life Options South Bay

Overview: Targeted to persons nearing retirement and recently retired, LifeOptionsSouthBay.com serves as a portal to connect people with volunteer opportunities, educational, recreational and health activities, employment possibilities, and second career training in the South Bay area. The annex has resources available and volunteers ready to talk with individuals contemplating retirement or looking for a more stimulating retirement.
Special Features: Life Options South Bay uses its website and annexes as a one-stop shop for information for adults. Annexes are located at Southwestern College and Norman Park where people over 50 can mix and mingle. The Norman Park center is staffed with volunteers on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm.
Partners/Sponsors: Life Options South Bay is coordinated by the City of Chula Vista, Southwestern College, and the Chula Vista Coordinating Council.

Orange County - WomanSage
Program: WomanSage

Overview: WomanSage is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering, educating, and fostering mentoring relationships among midlife women with a news-based Web site, a quarterly journal, annual conferences, monthly salons, and small special interest groups. Its goal is to make WomanSage.com a comprehensive information and support resource for mid-life women. WomanSage currently meets monthly in Orange County in California and is in the process of chapter development in many other locations.
